The Meals on Wheels program was started by members of Christ Lutheran Church in 1970 with three clients.  The program has since been incorporated under the name of Shenango Valley Meals on Wheels and is still located at Christ Lutheran.

MOW provides nutritious meals for anyone, of any age and any income.  The program accepts new clients daily.  Clients can have service on a short term or permanent basis.


We deliver five days a week including holidays between 11:00 am and noon.  The basic service area is within a ten mile radius of Christ Lutheran, plus Greenville.

MOW tries to accommodate the diets of our clients.  We provide a wide variety of diets including regular, diabetic, low salt, salt free, low fat, fat free, low cholesterol, bland, low residue, gluten free, and renal.  We also try to cater to our clients personal likes and dislikes.  A certified chef prepares the meals.


A hot meal and a cup of soup are provided, and a lunch bag can also be provided.  Meals can be ordered for any number of days each week.  Weekend meals are delievered on Friday.

Shenango Valley Meals on Wheels is a stand alone, non-profit organization (501(c)(3)) and does not receive any federal, state or local funding.  The program depends on client payments and donations by others.
